Sooke Council voted to advance two housing projects to public hearings scheduled for Monday, July 10, to bolster housing inventory. If approved, the proposed developments will contribute 71 new homes to the local market.
The council’s decision aligns with their recent rezoning of nearby property to accommodate townhouses and mixed-use development. Under the new Housing Supply Act, both developments must designate 10% of their project for affordable housing.
