Engineering is about finding practical solutions to problems. However, as an engineer (or project manager or environmental consultant) it is also evident that working with others is critical to achieving success. This experience has given me the skills to work with many diverse groups, whether they be entrepreneurs trying to make a business grow, a community looking to support its constituents, or a government ensuring that regulations are adhered to. My experience in leading renewable energy projects has taught me that there is not a single solution out there right now for some of the challenges we face. As such, technology integration and the use of multiple solutions is the way of the future. Let’s use all the tools in our arsenal to solve these hugely complex problems which cannot be simplified in the traditional way some people view them…”
