For a few hours at the Local Leadership Forum, people who rarely share the same room chose to slow down and think together about Greater Victoria. Civic leaders, builders, organizers, entrepreneurs and institutions showed up in a “good way” despite busy calendars and left with a shared sense of direction. SIPP is grateful for your time, insight and generosity of thought.
SIPP is pleased to share that the Local Leadership Forum Post-Event Report is now available. It reflects the afternoon working sessions, where participants gathered around twelve priority initiatives connected to Rising Economy 2030. Using an Open Spaces approach, conversations moved quickly from ideas to actions, early steps and potential partners, all oriented toward a regional economy rooted in resilience, inclusion, sustainability and entrepreneurship.
Regional progress depends on cross-sector collaboration. Governments, businesses, nonprofits, institutions, and Indigenous partners each hold part of the solution, yet momentum can build faster when those parts align. The ideas captured here will help guide SIPP’s implementation roadmap as efforts carry forward into 2026 and beyond.
Thank you for showing up with curiosity and care. We hope reading the report offers a clear view of the impact you helped create. We’re just getting started!
