Federal Housing Minister Gregor Robertson recently announced $326 million in federal funding for B.C. communities. The funding will accelerate housing construction and develop local economies. Robertson emphasized that building housing at an unprecedented pace requires investments in homes and infrastructure tp support growing communities.
Funding will come through the Canada Community-Building Fund and the Union of B.C. Municipalities will lead distribution. Local governments can use the money for projects such as transit, water systems, roads, bridges and recreation facilities.
