South Island Prosperity Partnership (SIPP) announced today that Tecnet, Canada’s longest operating IT support and services company, has joined its growing regional economic alliance of more than 75 member organizations.
“Tecnet’s decision to join our South Island Prosperity Partnership is a powerful testament to their commitment to local prosperity and their deep understanding of the critical role technology plays in our region’s future,” says Aaron Stone, CEO of SIPP.
Canadian-owned and operated, Tecnet has been supporting businesses, governments and non-profits since 1974 and was one of the first IT companies to support the B.C. government in adopting workplace computing. Tecnet has two major support centres in Victoria and Vancouver, plus a robust network of 35 Authorized Support Centres strategically located across B.C. The company provides a full spectrum of top-tier IT services and support, ranging from infrastructure and cybersecurity to AI adoption and IT asset management.
“For over 50 years, Tecnet has been proud to support the people and businesses of Vancouver Island,” says Matthew Van Heyst, CEO of Tecnet. “We believe technology is a powerful force for good — capable of changing the world for a better today and tomorrow. Joining SIPP is a natural extension of our commitment to the region, and we’re excited to contribute to a more connected and innovation-driven economy across the South Island.”
